SUMMARY
NewWine holds an annual summer festival each year. Set in the coastal region of Kapiti. The festival has been bringing together around 1000 people and families since 2019. The NewWine team saw the need for a mobile app to be used throughout the long weekend event.
The NewWine app is an informational way-finding app that features updated speakers, Special Events, times, specific locations, event ground facilities info, and current event information.
The app is used for both organising to help guide others and for attendees to get an idea of the event before arriving.
DESIGN
APPROACH
As the app is an informational app only the UX/UI needs to be simple and easy to navigate as the users will be referring back to the app throughout the festival.
Conclusion
The NewWine app has now been used for the last 3 years of the NewWine annual Kapiti festival and has been used for all organisers and most of the attendants.
It has been great to hear of the positive user and stakeholder feedback that the app has attracted with updates being made each year.
